close project tab without saving??

is this anything that could be done through reascript? there's no action for this and i'm trying to use project tabs live and close them programmatically, but cannot, because they prompt to save. normally, of course, this is vital, but i want to be able to close them via external midi command

hmm, thanks. that works, but is quite inconvenient to manually set/return that parameter before/after live use.

there is no rearoute in portable so that's not an option unfortunately thanks for that extra info veto.

Beyond Undos there are other things you want to tweak for live performances: preventing the audio device to be closed whatever happens, run FX when stopped, probably disabling auto-mute, etc What I do here is to launch REAPER with a special live configuration file (a special version of the REAPER.ini file) with the following command line, for ex.: Code:

that works well, thanks. ultimately i still wish it could be done from within REAPER via action, but then again i suppose something like what you're suggesting is inevitably more useful considering the other settings that must be changed. thanks jeffos!
